What It Is

Safety Score is a configurable scoring system in Raven’s web app that quantifies various driving behaviors into a single, easy-to-understand score out of 100. Designed to help fleet managers evaluate and improve driver performance, the system allows you to choose, if you wish, which events to include, assign custom weights to each, and define the time period and drivers to monitor to create a system that works for your unique operations. The result is a simple, actionable metric that transforms your safety management.

Each driver is grouped into one of four clear risk levels: Low Risk (90-100), Mild Risk (75-89), Medium Risk (60-74), or High Risk (Below 60). This allows you to instantly identify who needs proactive coaching and use the timeline view to see if interventions are driving meaningful improvement and determine which behaviors (like speeding or harsh braking) are impacting their score.

The Event Review system allows managers to review individual events before they are counted. You can easily dismiss events you determine to be false positives or justified driver actions. How It Works

  1. Review (Optional but Recommended): Before loading the score, you can use the Event Review system to check and dismiss any false positives or justified events.
  2. Configure: Choose your preferred settings, including which event types to score, their weighting, the drivers to include, and the date range.
  3. Analyze & Adjust: Select Load Score. The dashboard will load with your group and individual scores. You can click on any blue headline to drill down and filter for more specific insights. To change your settings at any time, simply select Options in the top-right corner.
